I just got back from 3 perfect days at the infamous Island Lake Lodge in Fernie, BC. I was nervous driving down there as it hadn’t snowed in a few weeks and is seemed like such a damn waste to finally get to go to that place if there wasn’t chest deep powder. Well, I was quickly proven wrong the next morning when I woke up to bluebird skies, warm temperatures and surprisingly sick pow.

I was in a cat with 11 other hilarious guys, our driver Greg, tail gunner Ryan, guide Cory and a photographer (who shot a couple of these pics) Todd.

We were averaging over 15,000 vertical feet on the altimeter per day and our 3 day total was over 50,000 ft. Now I’ve been riding for 21 years and even with a custom tapered pow board I was exhausted. Haha.

The terrain is second to none…each ride up in the cat I was spotting famous lines I’ve seen in videos and in magazines over the years and listening to my guide’s stories of legendary pros and the crazy shit they’ve done up there.

What a sick trip…amazing riding, amazing food, amazing group. Did I mention that they have beers waiting for you when you finish your last run each day? Heck ya
