If you don’t know about it yet, the RED camera is the latest and greatest (not to mention most frickin’ expensive) camera to hit the market.  My brother was one of the first to take delivery so we are going to be shooting some SUPER sick footage of the Clyde team this winter.  That’s right.

This is a perfect time for a shameless plug… go to www.brianbroz.com for info.

First Day of Fall

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Can you feel it?  All I know is that I can’t stop thinking about riding today…the air is crisp…the leafs are falling off the trees…and I made the mistake of looking at last year’s photos from my favorite cat-boarding spot, Fernie Wilderness Adventures.  OMG.

Global News comes to Clyde

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

Global Television did a story on Clyde that was on the Friday night news hour.  A big thanks to Ryan and Dani (oh man, I hope I’m spelling that right) for hooking that up.  Our team manager and rider Mike Dunlop even came down for the interview:

The angle of the story was what it’s like to be one of the few remaining snowboard manufacturers in Canada, the state of the industry and of course, what goes into building a board.

After the interview, Dunny wanted a shot in front of my neighbor’s new Skyline GTR…..sooooooo sick!

A true story by Jason Broz

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

I try not to post un-snowboarding related stuff on this page, but today I have no choice.  The reason for this is that last night I saw one of the greatest pieces of cinema that I have ever experienced, but before I get to that, let me start at the beginning.

For those of you who don’t know, Cody is somewhat of an apprentice of mine and he has been talking about going to see this movie for over a week now.  It got to the point that it was somewhat of a joke…”when are we going to go”, “it’s going to be the most kick-ass movie ever”, and so on.  Last night after cutting materials into the evening, we decided it was time for some pints and wings at Cactus Club, then we would go check out this flick.  The film is called Death Race, and if you haven’t seen it or even heard of it let me tell you…it will change your life.  It’s the most incredibly idiotic, over the top, yet wicked movie I have seen in years and it left us pumped and wanting to blow up cars on the drive home.  ”I’ve never seen so many explosions, hot chicks, and people dying in ways I’ve never seen before…it had it all” states Cody.  I couldn’t agree more.  Here’s a pic of how stoked I was on the way out of the theatre:

Uhhhhh…..

Did anyone else see the mountains this morning?  You’ve all heard the whispers about it snowing…maybe you’ve even experienced it yourself, but this morning we all woke up to this:

Are you guys ready?

The Clyde Factory Showroom opens next week for the season so make sure you come in and check out the new gear.

Introducing the “Kingdom”

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

Designed by Christina Huber of Calgary, the Kingdom is a new design for 08/09.  The story about this graphics that must be told is that it is 100% drawn by hand.  Lots of board graphics these days use what are know as Vector-Packs….basically, they’re pre-designed graphic elements that can be used over and over by companies around the world.  This graphic is completely original.  From the rabbits humping on the topsheet, to the line work, the Kingdom is a true work of art that MUST been seen in person to be truly appreciated.
