Man, things have never been so busy around the shop. Those of you who have been checking the site on a regular basis have probably noticed the lack of updates this summer, so for that I apologize. Lots of people don’t realize that Clyde is literally a one-man operation, so when things get busy…they get crazy.
The good news is that there is all sorts of awesome things to report (now that I have a second to share them with you). First of all our newest team rider Mike Dunlop has just returned from a summer on the Blackcomb Glacier so he is going to have all sorts of pics and input on the new board designs to share. Another huge, HUGE piece of news is that we have a new CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machine in the shop. I’ve been dreaming about getting one of these puppies for many years now and it’s a “game-changer” for sure. I’ll be able to do all sorts of prototyping, new shapes, new molds, new core profiles, etc….etc….etc…. it’s going to be nuts. You’re going to see all sorts of cool board designs that I’ve been dreaming about for a while. Oh, and I’m working on the 08/09 website so watch for a new look for the site as well as all of the new board graphics and models in the next few weeks. I was originally going to change the entire site, but I think it works so well just the way it is…why change it too much?
