Design your own snowboard

November 13th, 2008

Lots of people don’t know this, but we now offer custom graphic snowboards!  You design it, we build it.  As long as you or someone you know can use Photoshop or Illustrator, you’re as good as gold.  Email or call us for details.

Due to surging demand for custom boards, I have decided to launch a dedicated website where you will be able to download board templates and upload your graphics (and pay online which makes everone’s lives easier).  It’s called The Rabbit Lab and it will be live in the next couple of weeks.  I will keep you posted no doubt.  Why The Rabbit Lab?  Well, our factory in Calgary is surrounded by those little rapidly breeding suckers, so it only makes sense.  Stay tuned!

Calgary Snowshow

November 7th, 2008

Just a quick note…the showroom will be closed tomorrow (November 7th) as we will be down at the Calgary SnowShow.  Word.

Ryan Hall on Clyde! What.

November 4th, 2008

Our team manager Mike Dunlop has managed to recruit our most high-profile rider to date, Mr. Ryan Hall to the Clyde team and we couldn’t be more pumped.  If you’ve seen Ryan’s part in Sandbox’s newest flick All Day Every Day then you’ll know why.  My guess is that you’re going to see HUGE things from Clyde and Ryan in the near future.

Here’s a shot of Ryan on his new Birds Have Feelings Too deck crushing a mini-pipe in Calgary last week…photo by Devon Gamble…

“Custom” doesn’t have to be expensive

November 2nd, 2008

All Clyde boards start at $419 Canadian plus GST.  Now that doesn’t mean you get some lame watered down version of a good deck…you can actually get a customized board for $419….you pick the graphic, you pick the size.  Now, having said that you can also add what is known as the Performance Upgrade for an extra $100 and you will get all the bells and whistles including Carbon stringers, multi-layer vibration dampening, and much, much more.

Simply email or call us with your order and payment type (we take Visa, Master Card, cheques, etc…) and in one-two weeks you will have your custom dream ride.  That’s it!

JibJab Rail Jam Edmonton

October 26th, 2008

Mark and I rolled up to Edmonton on Saturday to check out the JibJab rail jam taking place at the Edmonton Snow Show.  The set-up was alright…I guess as good of a set-up as you could fit in the small space they had to work with.  Clyde was represented well, and I had a good vantage point from the beer garden (surprise, surprise).  Snapped a few horrible picks…one of the scaffolding set-up and one of our good friend Dwayne pressin’ his way into the finals.

Clyde Birthday bash…I’m still hurtin’

October 19th, 2008

Late Saturday afternoon I threw a party to celebrate the one year anniversary since opening our new factory here in Calgary.  No, that doesn’t mean that I’ve only been making boards for one year….it’s been over 12 now.  Anyway, I just wanted to clarify that.  Back to the story!

So people started filtering down at around 3pm…Kael Hill and Matt were the early-birds and Ryan Hall came down to help us set-up.  Cherie worked the BBQ and kept us all fed while we drank WAY too many beers…

…the beers were flowin’ and people were skatin’, the music was pumpin’ and everyone was having a great time…

I bought this new SLR camera that I still haven’t learned how to use yet, but I gave it a go anyway.  The party really started rockin’ at around 5pm when James Beach showed up with a re-stock of booze (oh, by the way James…you left your shirt in the showroom which begs the question….what did you wear home?)

The Clyde team were there and even Summit, the team mascot (Dunny’s dog) joined in the festivities…

It was fun….maybe too much fun if there is such a thing.  Here are some more pics…..

Thanks to everyone who came down to check-out the show last Wednesday night.  We had well over 200 people at the show, so ya, I’d call it a success.  I just wanted to post some picks from the event…
